My partner and I were at the Williamsburg Place shopping center yesterday and a friend mentioned to us that he has heard good things about the Williamsburg Kitchen, notably that they have the best Reuben in town. I'm a fan of Reubens, so I went out to try it the next day for lunch. So I tried the Reuben, the broccoli & cheese soup, and the squash casserole. Reuben (Around $7): tasty, fresh, and delicious. Not overstuffed and the right amount. It's a damn good Reuben, though I would want to try the one at River City Bistro again before saying whose is the best. I'd definitely recommend the sandwich if you're a Reuben fan. Cup of Broccoli & cheese soup (around $3): Was served lukewarm. Pretty middle of the road. Nothing stands out about it, though it seems to be homemade. Kind of bland and forgettable. Cup of Squash casserole (Around $3): OMG! If you're a fan of squash, casseroles, and/or squash casseroles, then you MUST try it! I got a small serving and I could easily go back and just eat the larger portion available and call it a day. Homemade, fresh, hot, cheesy, great consistency, and the squash had the right bite to it (not soggy). Sweet tea: Underwhelming and tasted watered down. Blech. Service: Excellent service and very friendly. Restaurant itself: Only open for lunch during the week. I was a little ehhhh with the decor and plethora of Bible verses and Christian paraphernalia; I would be leery of going here as a couple or with a gay crowd.. Definitely going for the kitschy, casual look. The crowd seemed to be a mix of either older, retired folks or ladies who lunch. It fills up quickly and can get quite loud. Williamsburg Kitchen seems to be an affordable, quick, and tasty option for lunch in Fort Smith. There's not a lot of seating, so go early.
